A game that worked well at last year's TGIO was giant Scrabble. We got a disposable tablecloth as a playing surface, and midwinter sectioned it off into a reasonable approximation of a Scrabble board. We used index cards as tiles, and our wrimos split up into teams to play. Having teams kept any one person from being put on the spot. Only problem was that some of our tiles got scored using the tile frequency counts instead of the actual points on the tile, but by the end everyone was having too much fun to really quibble about the scoring.
