We also do a 'Newbie Oldy' game that I adapted from a post someone made a few years ago. I take crepe paper (red for people who've done NaNo before, white for newbies...the symbolism there cracks most of them up) and they have to construct a sash and crown from them and wear them for the entire kick-off. Then we have a contest for who's is better and take a vote. I usually have stickers, glitter, glue, pom-poms and other junk around so they can 'accent' them. I give prizes to the winners, and then little prizes to everyone else for being good sports.
